Looking Back & Looking Forward

The first few weeks of 2012 are being spent finishing up commitments from 2011. I'm also tackling a lot of small projects I've been meaning to do for a while (including finally filing assumed name paperwork with Cook County). One of the projects I'm most excited to dust off and complete is properly mounting a few plaster sculptures I have boxed up in the studio. Once that is done I will be able to offer them for sale. Making my sculptures available on my website has been on my to-do list forever. It was fun to look back at some of my older work while I was double checking dimensions. The image above is titled "Safe Stove" from my BFA show installation where I inflated yellow vinyl in doorways, elevators, stairwells, and kitchens. Looking back on my old work is really informing how I want to move forward in 2012: bolder moves and more experimentation.
