Taking it on the road...

I'll be hauling my new tent (I finally bought one a few weeks ago) onto a Southwest flight heading to New York in two weeks. Last September I did the Renegade Craft Fair here in Chicago and we spent the weekend getting soaked. I'm crossing my fingers that the weather in Brooklyn will be kinder to me. If you're in the area, stop by and say hello! I should have a little bit of everything plus a few fair-only surprises.

Also, for my Chicago folks, I'll be back here just in time to participate in the Guerrilla Truck Show on Tuesday, June 16th, 6-9pm. It takes place on Fulton Market and involves a lot of U-haul trucks turned into mini showrooms (fun!).

Don't Give Up

I just got this t-shirt from Etsy seller Print Liberation. I don't usually go for shirts with messages, but I couldn't resist the yellow and grey combo. Plus, let's be honest, we all need to be encouraged to keep going every once in a while, especially those of us trying to run their own little business.

Open Studio: Before & After

The open studio went really well! I hadn't met anyone in the building yet so it was really fun to walk around and meet all our neighbors. Sarah and I spent the day turning the studio from workspace into a mini gallery to show our new work. It was a good excuse to finish up some sculptures I'd been working on.
